New production dimensions with state-of-the-art modular technology

GEMAC Chemnitz GmbH revolutionizes its selective soldering system

Press release

Chemnitz, July 2, 2025 – In an era where innovation is redefining the manufacturing sector, GEMAC Chemnitz GmbH is taking its electronics production to a new level. Through an ambitious upgrade of its existing SelectLine C system from SEHO Systems GmbH, the company is not only optimizing processes but making a holistic technological leap. This strategic move underscores GEMAC’s relentless pursuit of precision and efficiency and reaffirms its commitment to pioneering advancements in the industry.

Maximum process reliability and outstanding soldering quality

The SelectLine C system features a fully modular design that ensures excellent soldering quality while offering maximum adaptability. Although the Synchro and SmartSplit functions are not activated in GEMAC’s current configuration, they can be retrofitted on a modular basis without major system modifications.

Efficient program development with innovative offline teaching

A particularly noteworthy feature is the user-friendly offline teach program. This software solution allows new soldering recipes to be developed conveniently and rapidly. The entire soldering sequence is automatically analyzed, optimized, and distributed to the existing process stations - drastically reducing handling and cycle times and delivering an immediate boost in efficiency.

Flexible operating modes: optimal combination of batch and inline processes

The system enables GEMAC to switch seamlessly between batch and inline operation. In batch mode, PCBs return after completing the soldering cycle; inline operation supports continuous production without return. By running all three integrated process stations in parallel, total throughput time per PCB is significantly reduced - achieving cycle-time improvements of up to 30 percent in certain assemblies.

GEMAC Fertigungsleiter Klaus Tröltzsch

Production Manager Klaus Tröltzsch summarizes:
„We benefit enormously from the new inline operation, especially for large series. It not only accelerates our production processes but also makes them more robust and precise.“

Versatile practical applications

The performance of the upgraded selective soldering system is demonstrated by its versatility:

Mobile machines: Highly complex PCBs for assistance, safety, and automation control systems - ensuring precise and reliable solder connections even under demanding conditions.

Medical technology: Production of reliable measurement devices where the highest standards of solder quality and dependability are essential.

Industry and energy: Manufacture of intelligent control and regulation units, as well as modern communication modules, to ensure uninterrupted, trouble-free operation in challenging environments.

These examples illustrate how SEHO’s modular design and optimized software programming contribute directly to meeting GEMAC’s most demanding production requirements.

Pioneering Technology – Defined by German Engineering Expertise

With the recent upgrade of its selective soldering system, GEMAC Chemnitz GmbH is not only building on the legacy of “Made in Germany” excellence but redefining it. In GEMAC’s factory halls, dedicated engineers and expert technicians pursue technical progress with passion, developing innovative solutions every day. Operating in state-of-the-art laboratories, these specialists uphold the highest quality standards.
