Young talent welcome: GEMAC opens its doors to the future several times in March

Chemnitz, March 2026 – Career guidance, hands-on technology, and real career opportunities: In March 2026, GEMAC Chemnitz GmbH will participate in three major career and academic guidance events in Saxony. High school students, apprentices, and college students will have the opportunity to explore modern industrial workplaces, ask questions, and speak directly with employees.

As a developer and manufacturer of electronic measurement and sensor technology for industrial automation and mobile machinery, the Chemnitz-based company offers a variety of entry-level opportunities—from internships and apprenticeships to dual-track degree programs. GEMAC provides young people with hands-on insights and opens up career prospects in the region.

Get a Glimpse at SCHAU REIN! – Open Company Week

The response was so overwhelming that the single event originally planned has turned into two: GEMAC is now hosting events on March 10 and 12, 2026—both of which sold out in no time.

At SCHAU REIN!, young people can experience business operations up close, ask questions, and talk directly with specialists, trainers, and apprentices. From development and manufacturing to quality assurance, they gain a comprehensive insight into the working world at GEMAC.

Experience technology at the VBFA (Association for Vocational Promotion and Training) in-house exhibition

On March 11, 2026, GEMAC will be showcasing itself as a potential employer at the VBFA e.V. in-house fair—the “Open Workshop Day.”

The event is aimed specifically at students who are interested in learning about technology and career opportunities. They will have the chance to get to know the company and see how modern technology is used in practice. On-site, visitors can talk directly with employees, ask questions, and gain a realistic impression of the work and career opportunities at GEMAC.

Opportunities at the Open House of the Saxony Cooperative State University in Glauchau

On March 14, 2026, GEMAC will provide information about dual degree programs in Digital Engineering and Computer Engineering at the Open House of the Saxony Cooperative State University in Glauchau.

Prospective students can learn about internships and projects at the company and speak directly with employees. Working students also provide insights into their current projects and daily work life at GEMAC.

Goal: Provide guidance and nurture talent

By participating in all three events, GEMAC aims to show young people the diversity of technical careers, provide hands-on insights, and open up opportunities in the region. “Many people don’t realize how exciting high-tech careers right on their doorstep can be. We want to spark curiosity, bring technology to life, and highlight paths to a future-proof career,” says Mario Werner, a trainer at GEMAC.

Always on the ground: Wolfram Klein, Head of Strategic Projects, who has been with GEMAC since November 2025 and is particularly committed to supporting the next generation. He emphasizes: “With our motto, ‘Create your future – move measuring technology,’ we want to show that technical careers are not only exciting but also offer real opportunities to shape your own path. Anyone passionate about technology can put their own ideas into practice at GEMAC right from the start and thus actively shape their future.”
