Looking back: Schau rein! 2026
Once again this year, we took part in the “Schau rein!” initiative—and can look back on two thoroughly successful events. Both events were fully booked, and the interest and feedback from participants were consistently very positive. We were particularly pleased that all the students participated voluntarily and showed genuine interest.
The focus was on introducing the apprenticeship program for electronics technicians specializing in devices and systems. In addition to gaining fascinating insights into the day-to-day work, the young people were able to get hands-on: soldering, experimenting, and experiencing technology firsthand—which was particularly well-received.
One of the participants was Elias N. from the Freies Evangelisches Limbacher Schulzentrum (high school, 8th grade). During the interview, he mentioned that he particularly enjoyed gaining a better understanding of the profession, soldering, and the hands-on experience. He enjoys practical work and sees vocational training as an exciting alternative to college, where the focus is mostly on theory. Elias already has some basic knowledge: Together with his father, he regularly works on expanding their model train layout and frequently undertakes electronics projects. No wonder, then, that physics is one of his favorite subjects.
The two-day event was led by our instructor Mario Werner and our trainee Simeon, who supported the young people with great dedication and expertise. Mario Werner sums up the event as follows:
“It’s always wonderful to see how quickly young people develop an enthusiasm for technology when they’re allowed to get hands-on.”
We would like to thank all participants for their great interest and are already looking forward to “Schau rein!” next year!
